Depending on the height of your ceiling; you may need to purchase a longer downrod to bring your ceiling fan closer to the floor.
Recommendations
- Safety standards in Australia stipulate that your ceiling fan blades must be at least 2.1 m from the floor
- Increasing the amount of space above your ceiling fan will generally result in better airflow (performance)
Standard ceilings (2.4 - 2.8m)
- Your ceiling fan includes a downrod which is suitable for most standard ceiling heights in Australia
High ceilings (2.9 - 3.7m)
- We recommend adding a 90 cm downrod to your fan - depending on your exact ceiling height; you may not require the full length - downrods can be cut to custom lengths by your installing electrician
- As a guideline; we suggest hanging the fan between 2.4 - 2.6m from the floor
Very high ceiling (3.8 - 4.9m)
- We recommend adding a 180 cm downrod to your fan - depending on your exact ceiling height; you may not require the full length - downrods can be cut to custom lengths by your installing electrician
- As a guideline; we suggest hanging the fan between 2.4 - 2.6m from the floor
Sloped (angled) ceilings
- Your ceiling fan uses a hanger ball and bracket design that can handle ceiling slopes up to 30 degree
- Sloped Ceiling Kits are available for angles up to 52 degree
